Santa Fe Chili Nuts

Yield:
3 cups

Ingredients:

  1. 1 egg white
  2. 1 tablespoon frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
  3. 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  4. 1 tablespoon chili powder
  5. 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  6. 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  7. 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  8. 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
  9. 1/4 teaspoon celery salt
  10. 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  11. 3 cups peanuts or mixed nuts
Directions:

Heat oven to 325 F. Combine egg white, orange juice concentrate, sugar, chili powder, garlic powder, cumin, black pepper, ground red pepper, celery salt, and cinnamon in a large mixing bowl.

Stir in nuts. Toss to coat. Line a 15x10x1-inch pan with foil; spray with nonstick cooking spray. Spread nuts on foil.

Bake for 20 minutes; stirring twice. Cool. Break apart large clusters.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature up to 1 week.
